1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using String Tension AI, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. Your continued use of the App after any modifications to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

String Tension AI is an iOS application that uses acoustic analysis to estimate tennis string tension. The App captures sound produced when you tap or pluck a tennis string using your iPhone's microphone, analyzes the audio frequency, and provides an estimated tension reading in lbs.

Key features of the App include:

• Real-time acoustic analysis and tension estimation
• Measurement history tracking and trend visualization
• Racquet and string setup profile management
• AI-powered restring recommendations
• iCloud sync across your Apple devices
• Data export in CSV and PDF formats

Features may vary depending on whether you use the free or Pro version of the App, and we may modify, update, or discontinue features at any time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

4. User Accounts and Data

Data Storage

Your measurement data, racquet profiles, and string setups are stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, this data may be synced across your Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit framework. We do not operate our own cloud servers or databases for user data.

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and your iCloud account. We are not liable for any loss of data resulting from device failure, unauthorized access to your device, or changes to your iCloud settings.

Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your data, including our commitment to on-device audio processing and minimal data collection.

5. Purchases and Subscriptions

In-App Purchases

The App may offer a Pro upgrade or other in-app purchases. All purchases are processed exclusively through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's Terms and Conditions. We do not process payments directly or have access to your payment information.

Subscriptions

If the App offers subscription-based features, subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your iPhone's Settings (Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions).

Refunds

Refund requests for purchases made through the App Store must be directed to Apple. We do not have the ability to process refunds for App Store transactions.

6. Intellectual Property

Our Property

The App, including its design, user interface, algorithms, acoustic analysis models, graphics, text, and all other content, is the property of String Tension AI and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our prior written consent.

Your Data

You retain ownership of all measurement data, racquet profiles, and string setups you create within the App. We do not claim any ownership rights over your user-generated data.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App or its acoustic analysis algorithms
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the App
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or any part of it
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or infrastructure
• Use the App for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices in the App

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Measurement Accuracy

String Tension AI provides estimated tension readings based on acoustic analysis. These measurements are approximations and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional stringing equipment or calibrated tension meters. Actual string tension may vary due to factors including string material, racquet construction, environmental conditions, ambient noise, and microphone hardware differences.

"As Is" Provision

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, String Tension AI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Stringing Decisions

We are not responsible for any decisions you make regarding racquet stringing, string selection, or tension adjustments based on data provided by the App. Always consult a qualified racquet technician for professional stringing advice.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to the App at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately, but sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law will survive termination.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. For material changes, we may also provide notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction, as applicable.
